He was predeceased by: his parents, Elijah Amos Williams and Annie Mae Kennedy Williams; his daughters, Debbie Wood, Wanda Hall, Joyce Marie Williams and Cindy Williams; and his brothers, Harvey Lee Williams and Johnny Williams.
He is survived by: his wife Brenda Williams; his children, Cathy Howard (Evan) of Rocky Mount, James Sharpe of Rocky Mount, John Lucas of Rocky Mount, Perry Lucas of Raleigh and William Amos Lucas (Cynthia) of Nashville; his granddaughter Heather Lynch; his sons, Joshua Sharpe and Jeremy Sharpe; his great grandchildren, Dallas Lynch and Alaina Lynch; and his siblings, Peggy Leonard (Jerry) of Nashville, Edna Page (Sherwood) of Grifton, Bobby Williams (Jenny) of Goldsboro, Thomas Williams of Rocky Mount, William Alton Williams (Pam) of Rocky Mount and Bennett Williams of Sharpsburg. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
