He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward William Starkweather Sr. and Helen Kujawski Starkweather; and his brother Ralph Starkweather. He is survived by: his wife Dawn Nickerson Starkweather; his children, Kevin Starkweather (Angie) of Rocky Mount, David Keck (Dana) of Rocky Mount, Angela Capps (James) of South Bend and Bonnie Algeo (Tim) of Huntington; his grandchildren, Travis Starkweather (Kendall), Brittany Jones, David Keck (Graceson), Rose Keck, Joshua Capps and Brandon Capps; his great grandchild Maverick Macklin; and his siblings, Janet Grueger (Tim), Sharon Hammond (Don), Alan Starkweather (WeiQin), Carl Starkweather (Tonya) and Jerry Starkweather (Paula). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
