T." and Helen Davis Purvis; his children, Dr. Jennifer Purvis Brake (Chris) of Rocky Mount and Carlton Gene Purvis, Jr. of Wilmington; his grandchildren, Lauren, Christian Brake, Hunter Grace and Parker Purvis; and his brother Timothy "Tim" Purvis (Anne) of Hobgood.

He is survived by: his brother Podiatric; and his wife Kathleen "Kathy" Kocisko Purvis.
