With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dennis Strickland of Rocky Mount, North Carolina, who passed away on December 16, 2024 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Strickland and Estelle Strickland; his brother Martin Henry Strickland; and his grandchildren, Joshua and Madison Boykin.
He is survived by: his wife Leigh Peele Strickland; his children, Terri Medford (Garry), Karen Silveri (Anthony), Katie Boykin (David) and Martin Strickland (Jessica); his sister Virginia Ezzell; his grandchildren, Timmy Addington, Kimberli Pino (Jeffrey), Tiffany Addington, Anthony Silveri (Julie), William Medford, Christopher Boykin, Kayla Strickland, Nathan Strickland and Annabelle Boykin; his stepgrandchildren, Alyssa Hasselberg (Peter), Kristen Jochimsen (Jake) and Cameron Medford (Sarah); his great grandchildren, Dennis Addington, Adalyne Silveri and Julian Pino; and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Juniper, Penelope Hasselberg, Cody and Scarlet Medford.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Arlington Baptist Church (1500 Bethlehem Rd, Rocky Mount, NC 27803). A funeral service was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
