Carol touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Redden Wiggins and Carolyn Luella Morris Wiggins; her former husband William Gray Daughtridge, Sr.; and also William "Bill" Gray Daughtridge, Jr.. She is survived by: her husband Oscar "Pat" Patterson; her children, Shawn Daughtridge Wallace (Ferdinand Neyrey III) and Gregory Scott Patterson (Ashley); her grandchildren, William "Gray" Daughtridge, III (Brenning), Meredith Daughtridge Archie (Charles), Grayson Wallace Northrop (Michael), Eliza Wallace Hall (Taylor) and Hunter Lee Patterson; her great grandchildren, Will, Mary Evelyn, Addison, Caroline and Wells; her sister Duryna Wiggins Tharrington; and her niece Wendy Tharrington. She is also survived by many extended family members and dear friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home (1130 N Winstead Ave, Rocky Mount, NC 27804). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Chapel of Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home and Cremation Services (1130 N Winstead Ave, Rocky Mount, NC 27804). A burial was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at the Pineview Cemetery (761 W Raleigh Blvd, Rocky Mount, NC 27801).
