He was predeceased by: his wife Diane Montague. He is survived by: his sons, Paul McRoy (Michelle) and Mark McRoy (Brenda) of Rocky Mount; and his grandchildren, Amanda Simmons (Nathan), Kristin Baker (Andy), Romus Parker (Christy), Rosemerrie Mitchell (Thomas) and Ashley Salazor. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
