He was predeceased by: his brothers, Donald Joyner, George "Pee Wee" Joyner and Richard Joyner. He is survived by: his wife Becky Colbert Joyner; his children, Bobby Scott Joyner (Rhonda) of Nashville, Bradley Davis Joyner (Brandy) of Nashville, Donna Joyner Mills (Allen) of Rocky Mount and Matthew Thomas Joyner of Nashville; his grandchildren, Caitlyn Quinn, Rhiannon Joyner, Dylan Joyner, Ryan Joyner, Cameron Mills, Jordan Mills, Logan Mills, Alyssa Joyner and Aubrey Mills; his stepgrandsons, Mark Allen Hatchel and David Shearin; his siblings, Margery Wester (Bernice), William Joyner (Liz), Delilah Smith and Judy Bunn (Mike); and his siblings-in-law, Jean Waters (Charlie) and John Colbert, Jr. (Sheila). He is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
