He was predeceased by: his parents, John Barnes and Pauline Jackson Barnes; his siblings, John Junior Barnes, Shirley Carol Barnes, Connie Ann Barnes, Donnie Crawford Barnes, Timothy Paul Barnes and Cecilia Renee Barnes; his niece Aimee House; and his great-nephews, Jaydon Gibson and Kal-El Barnes.
He is survived by: his brother David Lee Barnes of Macclesfield; his niece Alexis Nicole Barnes; and his nephews, David Lee Barnes, Jr., Travis Barnes, Chris Barnes and Michael Barnes.
A graveside service was held on Tuesday, April 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Aubin Faith Family Cemetery (290 Baie Rd, Rocky Mount, NC 27801). A reception was held on Tuesday, April 8th 2025 at 12:00 PM.
