It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Benjamin S. Turner of Rocky Mount, North Carolina, who passed away on November 26, 2023, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Faison Smith Turner and Hattie Lee Herring Turner of Pink Hill, NC.. He is survived by: his wife Linda Godbold Turner; his son James Faison Turner (Robin Dunbar Turner) of Danville, VA; his granddaughters, Sarah Turner (Ryan Ross) of Tucker, GA and Caroline Francisco (Joshua Francisco) of Danville, VA; his sister Annette Turner Tyndall of Pink Hill, NC; and his sister-in-law Phyllis Outlaw Godbold of Raleigh, NC. He is also survived by 6 nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in the memory of Dr. Turner to the Alzheimer's Association of North Carolina, 3739 National Drive Unit 110, Raleigh, North Carolina 27612, or to First Baptist Church of Rocky Mount.
