He is survived by: his mother Victoria Vanhoy Bassinger (Stan Bassinger); his siblings, Renae File (Johnnie), David Smith (Lorie), Richard Smith (Veronica) and Jeremy Smith (Laura); his stepson Jacob Keever (Brittany); his nieces and nephews, Katelin Clay, Abby Bagwell, Madison Straight, Olivia Lewis, Hadassah Smith, Anna Smith, Parker Smith and Hunter Smith; and his wife Michelle. He is also survived by four great nieces; one great nephew, and two step-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Petey's honor may be sent to Restoration Church, 795 Cannon Street, Rockwell, NC 28138.
