With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Shirley Wright Sifford of Rockwell, North Carolina, born in Cleveland, North Carolina, who passed away on August 29, 2024 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Forrest Clifton Wright and Bessie McSwain Wright; her husband Charles A. "Short" Sifford; her sisters, Janelle Sifford and Pauline Cooper; and her half-brothers, Stough, Marshall, Tamadge and Blaine Wright.
She is survived by: her children, Donna Sifford Ashley (Steve) of Salisbury and Rev. Jeffrey Lynn Sifford (Carolyn) of Hartsville, SC; her grandson Brandon Dale Sifford of Rockwell; and her nieces and nephews, Nancy Breedlove (Chris), Eric Sifford (Paulette), Mike Sifford (Becky), Ernie Rinehardt (Tanya) and Janie Sifford (Tim).
