She was predeceased by: her parents, Jesse Lovette and Freida Goodman Lovette; her husband Luther Welch; her daughter Cathy Ellenburg; and her grandson James Timothy Safrit, II.
She is survived by: her children, Janice Holshouser of Rockwell, NC, Velma West and James Welch; and her boyfriend Jay Welch. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren.
