She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph Thomas and Virginia Mace Thomas. She is survived by: her husband David; her children, Vivian Cross (Will) of Burlington, NC, James "Jamey" Hayes (Stephanie) of Haw River and Ralph Bradley Hayes (Bobbie) of Rockwell; her stepsons, David L. Trexler, Jr. of Rockwell and Walter Earl Trexler (Audrey) of Rockwell; and her sister Kathy McBride of Winston Salem. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
