He was predeceased by: his brother Robert Thompson; his sister-in-law Joyce Thompson; his father-in-law James Phelps; and his close friend Voncille Hall. He is survived by: his parents, Bobby "Bob" Thompson and Mabel "Betsy" Miller Thompson; his wife Christy Lynn Thompson of Rockwell; his daughter Susan Thompson; his sons-in-law, Charles, Kaitlyn Parnell (Jake Farm) of Richfield and Cody Thompson of Rockwell; his brothers, Kim Thompson of Rockwell and Steve Thompson (Jenny) of Snellville, Georgia; his mother-in-law Vivian Phelps of Rockwell; his brother-in-law Jeff Phelps (Koren); and his pets, Deacon, Maverick and Maggie. He is also survived by four grandchildren, twelve nieces and nephews, twelve great nieces and nephews.
