He is survived by: his children, Jason Powell (Starla) and Bonnie Godfrey; his grandchildren, Madison Godfrey and Malachi Godfrey of Rockwell, NC; and his sisters, Joanne Rowe (Jerry) of Lexington, NC and Bonnie Woodie (Eldon) of Pelham, AL..
