He is survived by: his wife Della Kay Vanover; his son James D. Vanover of Rockwell; his sister Tammy Vanover Smith (Don) of Statesville; his grandchildren, Bryson Vanover (Christin) and Cassie McCrea; and his great grandchildren, Noah, Oliver Vanover and Baby A. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
