He was predeceased by: his parents, James Irl Thompson, Sr. and Fronie F. Thompson; his wife Alice R. Thompson; and his sisters, Selma Kivett (George), Hazel Thompson, Lillian Gordon (Erwin) and Opal Auman (Colon).
He is survived by: his daughter Shauna Tane Shaw; and his brothers-in-law, Wayne Jones and Timothy Woodie. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and several cherished friends.
A graveside service was held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Brookhill Memorial Gardens (8625 US-52, Rockwell, NC 28138).
