He was predeceased by: his parents, Iverson McCoy Brendle and Mozelle Eaker Brendle; and his siblings, John Joseph Brendle, Flora Ann Craig and Mildred Davis.
He is survived by: his wife Gayle Bess Brendle; his children, Lewis Brendle, Sandy Brendle Canup (Tim Canup) and Caryl Brendle Stribling (Bruce Stribling); his grandchildren, Angela Brendle, Deana Beaver, Carrie Kirby (Jacob) and Daniel Stribling (Courtney); his great grandchildren, Levi, Luke, Lily Kirby, Kayla Meissner (Luke) and Eden Goodman; and his great great grandchildren, Levi and LeAnne Meissner.
