He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Holshouser and Beulah Misenheimer Holshouser; his wife Frances "Frankie" Harris Holshouser; his stepchildren, Gene Green of Florida, Ronald Green of China Grove and Nancy Norris of Concord; and his siblings, David Holshouser, James Holshouser, Ruth Coley, Faye Cooper, Blanche Welch and Willie Shue.
He is survived by: his stepdaughter Shirley Linker (Johnny); and his nieces, Marlene Mills, Laura Delaney and Kristen Honeycutt.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Faithful Friends Animal Sanctuary, 220 Grace Church Road, Salisbury, NC 28147.
