He was predeceased by: his parents, Ulus Sidney Veach and Mary Spence Veach; his former wife Mary Euart Veach; his wife Anne Barnes Rose; and his siblings, John H. Veach, J. W. Veach, U. S. Veach, Jr., Ruby Veach Menster and Carrie "Sissy" Veach.
He is survived by: his children, Howard "Billy" William Veach (Beth) of Rockwell, NC, George "Bobby" Robert Veach (Lisa) of Rockwell, NC, Kathy Diane Earnhardt (Jacques) and Susan Elizabeth Veach (Alan) of Rockwell, NC; his stepchildren, Laurie Steckler (Fritz) of Salisbury and Danny Loflin (Trudy) of Spencer; and his brother Larry E. Veach (Glennis) of Salisbury, NC. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
