It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Diane Christine Bates of Rockwell, North Carolina, born in Houston, Texas, who passed away on September 22, 2021, at the age of 57, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her father Philip Clayton Bates; her children, Michael Wayne Koehne and Debra Lee Brown; and her grandson Jakob Lane Corl. She is survived by: her mother Dorothy Powell Tice; her stepfather John Tice of Granite Quarry; her children, Diane Caldwell (Kenneth) of Rockwell, Tammie Nichols (Robert) of Looneyville, WV and Jackwlyn Nicole Corl (Erik) of Rockwell; her siblings, John Bates of Texas, Lee Bates of Texas and Tammy Bates of Granite Quarry; her grandchildren, Michael Caldwell, Madison Bullard, Gavon Nichols, Matthew Caldwell, Malori Nichols, Mason Lambert, Jathan Corl, Alex-Zander Lambert and Emma Corl; and her son-in-law Michael Bullard.
