He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Wilma Overcash Sells and Hal Alexander Shive; his stepmother Irene Shive; his sister Marlene Beaver; his wife Patricia Shive of Salisbury; his children, Anthony "Tony" Shive of Salisbury, Sherry Kluttz (Keith) of Salisbury, Wendy Eidson (Mitch) of Salisbury and Jody Williams (Dave) of Huntersville; his grandchildren, Caleb Kluttz of Salisbury, Carmen Barrier (Andrew) of Rockwell and Kelsea Kluttz of Kannapolis; and his great grandchildren, Addison Barrier and Callie Barrier.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Building Fund at Organ Lutheran Church.
