He is survived by: his wife Sherry McQuain; his children, Melissa Abernethy (Kory), Anthony "Scooter" Jones (Anita) and Chris Jones (Brittany); his grandchildren, Kaitlyn Abernethy, Nora Jones, Kayden Abernethy, Carson Jones and Isaiah Jones; and his sisters, Cindy Duke (Bill) and Emily Brantley.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Powles Staton Funeral Home (913 W Main St, Rockwell, NC 28138). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
