William Thomas Purgason Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of William Thomas Purgason of Rockingham, North Carolina, who passed away on May 19, 2023 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Bill Purgason and Virginia Puckett Purgason; his sister Kaye Shelton; and his brother-in-law Don Russell. He is survived by: his sisters, Hazel P. Russell and Peggy P. Baynes (Charles). He is also survived by 4 nephews and 2 nieces, and numerous cousins, great-nephews, and great-nieces.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial gifts be made to Smyrna Presbyterian Church; gifts can be sent to Ann Dixon, 291 Crowder Road, Madison, NC 27025.
