He was predeceased by: his wife Hazel Carpenter Linton; his parents, William Barney Linton and Lilly Mae Boone Linton; and his siblings, Elton Ray Linton, Joseph Walter Linton, Doris Linton Moree and Evelyn Linton English.
He is survived by: his daughters, Roxanne Knight (Gene) and Sandra Teeters (Steve); his grandchildren, Amanda Norton Williams (Timothy), Trey Knight (Leigh Anna), Trina Teeters Williams (Jason), Travis Knight (Angie), Amber Teeters Peele (Josh), Brittany Teeters, Hunter Knight and Michael Knight; his great grandchildren, Trace, Bianca, Madisyn, Joshua, Luckais, Chandler, Kaylea, Sawyer, Madilyn, Myleigh, Rylee, Roxy and Wade; and his brother Wayne Barney Linton (Debbie).
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Mt. Carmel Free Will Baptist Church (573 Battley Dairy Rd, Rockingham, NC 28379). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
