He was predeceased by: his parent Charlie Frances; and his brother Rodney Pettitt. He is survived by: his parent Fannie Bass Pettitt; his wife Elizabeth Watts Pettitt; his children, Tera Leigh Dale, Matthew Wayne Pettitt of Cary, NC and Michael Lloyd Pettitt; and his siblings, Betty Jo Baker of Aberdeen, Ann Toni Rowe of Jackson Springs, Lynn Dale Pettitt of Hoffman, Gerald Pettitt of Hoffman, Randy Pettitt of Lillington and Mickey Pettitt of Hofffman.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to Hospice Richmond County, 1119 N US Hwy 1, Rockingham, NC 28379.
