With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Richard Ben Barber Jr. (Rockingham, North Carolina), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 20, 2024 at the age of 73. He was predeceased by : his parents, Richard Ben Barber and Minnie Lou Grant Barber. He is survived by : his spouse Beverly Sears Barber; his children, Dana Michelle Sauls and William Richard Barber (Meredith); his grandchildren, Bryson J. Hudson, Kaity Ann Sauls, Chad Hamilton Sauls, Madelyn Grace Barber and Shelby Rose Barber; his brother Robert Wayne Barber (Pam); his nephew Ben Barber; and his family Richard. He is also survived by his family and friends.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, June 25th 2024 from 12:45 PM to 1:45 PM at the Carter Funeral Homes- Rockingham (705 S Caroline St, Rockingham, NC 28379). A memorial service was held on Tuesday, June 25th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
