He is survived by: his wife Joyce Parker Whitt; his siblings, Walter Leroy Whitt, Jr. (Margaret) and Emma Whitt Herbin; his brother-in-law Ralph Slade (Clara); and his close friend Mary Harrison. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
