Though Mary may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, her essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
She was predeceased by: her husband Gene Forrester; her parents, James Murphy and Ann Cadigan Murphy; and her siblings, Paul Murphy and Beverly Stratton.
She is survived by: her children, Nancy Waddell (Allen), Tammy Messer (Roger), Dawn Warwick (Chris), Michael Forrester (Amy) and Mark Forrester; and her friend Shirley Inman. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren, and 7 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, March 29th 2025 from 12:45 PM to 1:45 PM at the Carter Funeral Homes- Rockingham (705 S Caroline St, Rockingham, NC 28379). A funeral service was held on Saturday, March 29th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, March 29th 2025 at the Richmond County Memorial Park (1717 E Broad Ave, Rockingham, NC 28379).
