We are sad to announce that on July 29, 2023, at the age of 82, Martin C. Long (Rockingham, North Carolina) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Martin M. Long and Ruth Thrower Long. He is survived by: his close friend Becky Simmons; his children, Marty Long (Theresa), Chip Long (Kathy), Donald Polston (Monica) and Nevaeh Long; his grandchildren, Samantha Goodman (Jeffrey), Madison Long, Trey Long, Heather Long Dunn (Chris), Lindsay Polston and A. J. Eadie; and his great grandchildren, Tyson, Ellie, Jenson, Tucker and CJ.

In addition to flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made out to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105 or the American Cancer Society at P.O. Box 6704 Hagerstown, MD 21741.

He lost his older brother two years ago and since, he continuously helped His sister in law, Carol in any way he could.
