It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lila Covington Ussery (Rockingham, North Carolina), who passed away on June 22, 2023, at the age of 107, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Jasper Waite and Maie Belle Agle Covington; her husband Joseph A. Ussery; her daughter Rebecca Jo Bennett; and her siblings, Clegg, Lindbergh, Alva, Alan, Winfred, Themla, Ollie, Lula, Zona and Virginia.
She is survived by: her grandsons, Bryon W. Bennett (Amy) of South Carolina and Jonathan L. Bennett (Christina) of Ohio; her great grandchildren, Noah, Caleb, Elijah Bennet of South Carolina, Alex and Ethan Bennett of Ohio; and her niece Margaret Brookshire of Ellerbe.
