He is survived by: his children, Jada Smith (Wayne), Surtrina Clark, Vincent Whitt (Gwenda), Paula Bolden (Clarence) and Eddie Herbin; his sisters, Mary Williamson and Ruth Blackwell; his siblings-in-law, Patty Maynard and Walter Rankin (Louise); and his close friend Deacon James Womack. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren.
