He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Goins and Lou Reynolds Goins; and his siblings, Grover, Bob, Junior, Gary Goins, Delphia Rouse and Marie Britt.
He is survived by: his wife Sue Clark Goins; his daughter Sharon Odom (Scott) of Rockingham; and his grandsons, Jake Howlett of Rockingham and Tyson Howlett of Winston-Salem. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
