She was predeceased by: her parents, John Lacy and Hurley Marie Smith Lassiter; and her husband Junious Harrison Smith. She is survived by: her children, Billy J. Brown (Tammy), Jimmy C. Brown and Joanie B. Brayboy (J. B.); her grandsons, Joshua Brayboy and Jeremy Brayboy; and her siblings, John L. Lassiter, Jr. and Doris Moss.
