He is survived by: his children, Gail Covington Quick, Rick Benson (Gail), Randy Benson (Kellie), Tammy Stewart (David, Jr.) and John Benson (Laura); his grandchildren, Rene'Covington Ward, Lee Covington, Riley Benson, Holden Benson, Heather Benson, Clay Benson, Maxie Benson Coburn, Christopher Shepley, Ashley Stewart and JoAnna Benson; and his great grandchildren, Haley Covington, Parker Covington, Jene'Ward, DeeAnna Ward, Kylie Benson, Leah Manivong, Cody Shepley of Jace Shepley, A. J, Blue, Cloie Shepley, Juniper Benson, Alexis Benson, Zimmie Coburn and Lainey Coburn.
