He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvie Griggs and Naomi Griggs; and his siblings, Glenda Griggs Singleton and Charles Wesley Griggs. He is survived by: his wife Vikki Griggs; his son James "Jamie" Griggs Jr.; his grandchildren, Jade Griggs, Savannah Rodrick (Kyle) and James "Tripp" Griggs III; and his brother Harold Gene Griggs. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and many friends.
