He is survived by: his stepfather Curt Blake; his children, Debbie Blake and Max Blake (Brenda); his grandchildren, Lance Miller (Heather) and Randi Wood (Walt); his great grandchildren, Jordan Wood, Nathan Wood and Josiah Miller; and his brother Marvin Blake (Joy).
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:45 PM at the Watson-King Funeral Home (306 E Franklin St, Rockingham, NC 28379). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Roberdel Baptist School in Gene's Honor.
