We bid farewell to Iris H Cooper (Rockingham, North Carolina), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on January 23, 2025 at the age of 99. Iris touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Rufus Floyd and Pheora Floyd; her sisters, Katrina Leonard, Betty Ann Summers and Bobbie Jean Barber; her son-in-law Ronnie Allen; and her grandson Brad Locklear.
She is survived by: her daughters, Wanda Hardin Locklear of Charlotte, Sheree Hardin Parrish (Chip) of Raleigh and Renee Hardin Allen of Garner; her grandchildren, Ryan Locklear of Charlotte, Lesley Winchester (Josh) of Matthews, Geoff Parrish (Jackie) of London, England and Bryce Parrish of San Francisco; and her great grandchildren, Ella Winchester, Ryder Winchester, Gabrielle Parrish, Cameron Parrish and Caleb Parrish.
A funeral service was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Millbrook United Methodist Church (1712 E Millbrook Rd, Raleigh, NC 27609). A burial was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Richmond County Memorial Park (1717 E Broad Ave, Rockingham, NC 28379).
