With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Elaine Dawkins Shelton of Rockingham, North Carolina, who passed away on January 27, 2024 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Pearson Hill and Gladys Pierce Dawkins; her husband W. Charles Shelton; her children, Carla Shelton and Steven Shelton; and her brothers, Ed Dawkins and Kenneth Dawkins.
She is survived by: her children, Tommy Shelton (Teresa) and Lee Shelton (Michelle); her grandchildren, Cliff Shelton, Heather Brooks, Destiny Martin, Carlos Shelton, Rebecca Shelton, Danielle Carmichael, Anna Shelton, Bryson Byrnes, Christian Shelton, Luke Shelton and Emily Shelton; her great grandchildren, Egan Brooks, Elsie Brooks and Mason Shelton; and her siblings, Pearson Dawkins, Jr. and Cheryl Lampley. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
