He was predeceased by: his mother Hazel Bernice Webb; his uncle David "Pete" Lee McLaurin (Anne Hiott McLaurin); and his daughter Wendy Denise McLaurin. He is survived by: his close friend Brenda Furmage; his daughter Melonie Ann McLaurin; his grandchildren, Jordan Trent Heeley, Victoria "Tori" Elizabeth Brigman (Graham) and Jerry Wayne "Tripp" Brigman III (Kayla); his brother Frank Bishop "Mac" McLaurin Jr. (Sybil); and his cousin Patricia Nichols.
