It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Curtis Eugene Laxton of Rockingham, North Carolina, born in Charlotte, North Carolina, who passed away on February 3, 2024, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Fornie Moore and Anne Belle Little Laxton; and his siblings, Rev. Bob Laxton, Paul Laxton, Larry Laxton and Joyce L. Perdue.
He is survived by: his wife Tammy H. Laxton; his brothers, Jack Laxton (Ruby) of Albemarle, Ernie Laxton of Lexington, NC and Jerry Laxton (Nancy) of Spencer, NC.; his grandchildren, Stevie, Kim Mahala of Lexington, NC and Randi Edwards; and his close friends, Terry Barnhill (Paula) of Rockingham and James Rye (Linda) of Laurel Hill, NC.. He is also survived by four great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
