She was predeceased by: her mother Clara Batton. She is survived by: her children, Rhonda Underwood Gibson (John), Richard "Woody" Underwood and Barbara Sasser Wiles; her husband Rev. Ralph Sasser; and her daughter-in-law Tina Green Underwood. She is also survived by six grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 2nd 2025 from 12:45 PM to 1:45 PM at the Shining Light Free Will Baptist Church (131 Calvert St, Rockingham, NC 28379). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 2nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, April 2nd 2025 at the Richmond County Memorial Park (1717 E Broad Ave, Rockingham, NC 28379).
