He was predeceased by: his father James Francis Purvis. He is survived by: his mother Barbara Harden Purvis; his wife Gwendolyn "Gwen" Stutts Purvis; his children, Adrian Purvis (Savanna), Jonathan Purvis (Shelby) and Hallie Purvis; his grandchildren, Jaxson Purvis, Sophia Purvis, Eli Stewart, Charlotte Purvis, Chloe Purvis and Leon Stewart; and his brothers, James "J. R." Purvis and Joe Purvis.
