She was predeceased by: her parents, Alton Sr. Harrell and Ann Harrell of Hamilton; and her brother Al Harrell Jr. of Robersonville. She is survived by: her husband Jeffery James of Robersonville; her children, Brooks James (John) of Robersonville, Lindsay Dunning (Jeff) of Bethel and Taylor James (Carly Simpson) of Robersonville; her grandchildren, Camren Peed, Allie Peed and Miller Dunning; her brother Marty Harrell (Susie) of Hamilton; and her mother-in-law Bessie Mae James of Robersonville.
