He was predeceased by: his parents, David Soloman and Susie James; and his siblings, Myrrha Mayo and Rev. Ben James. He is survived by: his wife Yvonne Pruitt James; his children, Cynthia Lynn James Wilkinson (Don) of Stokes and Gregory Thurston James (Kimberly) of Chocowinity; his grandchildren, Zachary Wilkinson (Lacey) of Winston-Salem, Nicholas Wilkinson of Wilmington and Megan Wilkinson of Charlotte; his great grandchild Rory Wilkinson of Winston-Salem; and his sisters, Susie Mayo (Gene) of Pennsicola, FL and Angela Hardison (Donald) of Loganville, GA. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
