He is survived by: his wife Amanda Matthews Nelson; his daughters, Amanda Smith, Jillian Kline, Tara Mullis, Lauren Nelson and Dana Woodard; his brother Rubin Bland; his son Ben Boland; and his sisters, Judy Bullock and Cathy Bullock.
