With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of James Richard Stancill of Robersonville, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 12, 2025 at the age of 73. In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact James had on those he encountered along his journey. Though James may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, his essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Rufus Stancill and Doris Ann Ferren Stancill; and his wife Lois Susan Wileman Stancill. He is survived by: his children, Sarah S. Godwin (Scott) of Winterville, James Richard "Jimmy" Stancill (Lisa) of Robersonville and Mark Daniel Stancill of Robersonville; and his sister Darlene Williams (John) of Coats, NC.. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, two great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Walker Funeral Home (414 N Haughton St, Williamston, NC 27892). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
