He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard K. Barnhill and Margaret Henry Barnhill. He is survived by: his wife Linda F. Barnhill; his children, David Andrew Barnhill (Jessica) and Erin Elizabeth Barnhill Mercs (Andrew); his grandchildren, Milizhia Kanae Barnhill, Brecken Amelia Barnhill and Asa David Barnhill; and his siblings, Zula B. Leggett of Stokes, Jim Barnhill (Joan) of New Bern and Robert Barnhill (Susy) of New Bern.
