She was predeceased by: her parents, Willard Sawyer and Mary Jane Sawyer; and her son Shannon David Sawyer. She is survived by: her son Robert; her daughter-in-law Kitty Britton of Robbinsville, NC; her sister Gloria Sue; her brother-in-law Harry Lee Adams of Robbinsville, NC; her brother Johnny Sawyer of Robbinsville, NC.; her grandchildren, Abel Britton, Savannah Sawyer, Braxton Sawyer, Shianne Sawyer, Willard Sawyer and Abbi Sawyer; and her great grandchildren, Shannon Piper and Rolan Sawyer.
Due to the risk of exposure to the COVID-19 virus and the restrictions resulting from the Executive Order issued by Governor Roy Cooper, the family will have a private graveside service on Thursday, May 14, 2020 at Santeetlah Cemetery.
