She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Grace Holder Garland and Clyde Garland of Robbinsville; her husband Gilbert Lance; her sons, Derek (Nancy) and Shane; her grandchildren, Jonathon (Leslie), Carianne (David), Caitlyn (Bryan) and Will; and her great grandchildren, Ian, Asher, Arthur, Lydia, Lillian and Elinor Ruth.
The family requests that any memorials be donated to either the Four Seasons Hospice of Hendersonville or First Baptist Church of Asheville in lieu of flowers.
